Read below to find out which amazing women inspire her!

What is your favourite thing about working at Apéro?

I work with a beautiful team filled with strong, independent and courageous women! Rachel, my boss and the director of Apero, has followed her dreams and has inspired me to do the same thing. What a wonderful thing to be able to make your dreams come true! Everyone here inspires me with their individual talents and little quirks. It’s wonderful being surrounded by such beautiful humans.

When you’re not working, what can we find you doing?

I love to get to the beach often! But if I’m not swimming in the ocean, I will hopefully be working on some creative project. Art is my passion and I’m trying my best to pursue it.

In three words how would you describe being a woman?

Empowering, Emotional (and I mean that in a good way, we are in touch with our feelings and I love it) & Exceptional (we are the best!).

Who are your favourite female icons?

- Jane Goodall! My favourite quote from her is
"Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference".

- Chrissie Hynde, who is an epic animal activist and lead singer of The Pretenders, the band who provided my parents with their wedding song.

- Debbie Harry, because she was a punk goddess who made great music!

- Meryl Streep. My favourite quote from her is "The formula of happiness and success is being actually yourself, in the most vivid possible way you can".

- Yoko Ono, because she had dedicated her whole life campaigning for world peace.

What motivates you?

I think my need to help others and to make a difference. I’ve always had a strong desire to contribute to society in some positive way and to be kind and caring to every human being and every animal (except mosquitos, sorry). I am very passionate about equality, climate change and sustainability. I believe these needs and desires are always considered when I’m making a decision, and they drive me to make my way through life creating a positive impact where I can and being a peaceful human being.

What is your number one guilty pleasure in life?

Well, I never thought I was a sweet tooth until my partner pointed it out to me, but turns out, if chocolate or pastry or cake is an option, I’ll choose it! I just can’t help myself.

Favourite Apéro style right now?

I love the A Walk In Time Slip Dress. So flattering with vintage vibes. I’ve gotten compliments every time I’ve worn it out (which is only twice so far haha, but still cool).

What is a charity organisation supporting women that you think people should know about? Why is this organisation important to you?

Body Image Movement! This is a movement that helps celebrate body diversity. It’s so important to me because today we are surrounded by images and more images of women who set unrealistic standards of what it means to be a woman. And we shouldn’t have to live up to these standards. We are all unique and so, so wonderful as we are.
